I recently had an implant removed due to an infection.

I considered sedation but decided to be brave and undergo the procedure without being sedated. I was terrified but the whole procedure was painless and I was so proud of Myself!

The team at Stoke Bishop Dental Centre were absolutely amazing. They talked me through every step of the way and made me feel extremely calm and confident.
I would recommend to anyone who is considering sedation to “BE BRAVE” you won’t regret it!

“In the early 1990’s I was leading a very active physical life and coping with the ups and downs that are thrown at you.

On a skiing trip towards the end of the 90’s I had a particularly strenuous day and finished exhausted. During the night I awoke and found one side of my body had little or no feeling. My immediate thought was “am I having a stroke?” Soon realising this was not the case, I travelled back to the uk and went straight to my GP. The Doc suggested that there was little wrong with me and that I should see a Chinese herbalist!

Scroll on a few months…..having seen a number of medicos without getting any reasonable diagnosis, I was still suffering numbness combined with dizzy spells and cramp in my legs. My digestion was also becoming far less efficient than it should have been and caused a great deal of pain. This general decline continued and brought about bouts of deep depression and a difficulty in maintaining fitness levels.

A chance meeting with cranial osteopath / chiropractor put me in front of someone who finally spoke sense with a good degree of knowledge. He immediately started to work to alleviate some of the symptoms and advised a visit to see Dr Bishop. At this point I am suffering from dizziness for the greater part of the day, extreme back problems that severely restrict my movement, numbness of the limbs, severe cramp at night and crushing depression that was limiting my ability to run several businesses and causing crushing suicidal thoughts.

My occlusal treatment and at times, intensive chiropractic manipulation have been a very long and slow road over the last decade or so, with frequent setbacks. However, I am now in a position where I am fitter than most people my age, undertake a very active life and very rarely have a “glum” day. I suffer a little numbness and cramp at times and my digestion is not perfect. Were it not for the treatment I have received from a few very well informed people, I doubt that I would be alive to tell the tale.”

My treatment with Charlotte has been life changing.
I initially began treatment in 2014 with Charlotte’s farther, Peter Bishop, which set me on the path to recovery from very challenging symptoms relating to Hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and Cranio-Cervical Syndrome, in particular pressure-like headache pain and muscle tension around the head.

Charlotte has managed my care for a few years now and she has been brilliant. I don’t know where I would be without her help. Charlotte is always very welcoming, attentive, professional and has a great way of keeping me at ease.

I take comfort in knowing that Charlotte will always do her utmost to ensure I receive the best possible treatment. Charlotte goes above and beyond by always making herself available for any questions or concerns that I may have.

As a severe dental phobic, it had taken me two years to face up to dealing with a cracked tooth, and then weeks of internet research before I braved a telephone call to Stoke Bishop Dental Centre. I have received sedation historically for dental work and have always felt exhausted afterward, but it is a credit to the skill of the nurse who managed my sedation that this time I felt absolutely no ill effect . The work had been carried out cleanly and with such care that there was almost no bleeding, and no bruising. I was amazed.

Since my treatment I have been telling anyone and everyone who will listen that I received the best care I have ever received (by a country mile) at Stoke Bishop Dental Centre.
