Our approach here at Stoke Bishop Dental Centre is to create crowns that are made with your unique smile in mind. Your crown will be custom created, matching your tooth shade and shape. Your dentist will remove a very small amount of tooth enamel and take an impression or a digital scan, allowing the technician to create a crown that is made to your specifications. We will fit you with a temporary crown while you wait for your new crown to be sent to the practice – this is usually around two weeks. We will then ask you to come back to have your crown bonded using a strong adhesive, and any necessary minor amendments can be made at this time.
Thanks to CEREC crown technology, it’s now possible to have a porcelain crown created and fitted in a single appointment. We are very pleased to be offering patients this treatment as it has many benefits including:
Using ground breaking CEREC technology, discoloured and chipped teeth can be replaced with stunning porcelain crowns and veneers, broken down molars can be restored using porcelain inlays/onlays, and unsightly silver fillings can be replaced with tooth coloured ones.
In addition to the considerable savings in time and laboratory costs, the CEREC 3D also eliminates the need for impressions, temporary fillings, and requires less drilling and fewer injections.
