Dr Paul Wilson
Principal Dentist / Implantologist

Paul is ideally qualified for his role at Stoke Bishop Dental Centre, having studied and trained in the UK, and internationally, including at Loma Linda University in Los Angeles - one of the most prestigious dental implant training centres in the world.

Paul is ideally qualified for his role at Stoke Bishop Dental Centre, having studied and trained in the UK, and internationally, including at Loma Linda University in Los Angeles - one of the most prestigious dental implant training centres in the world.
With the objective of providing the most up to date and predictable dental treatments, he achieved a Master's Degree in Restorative and Cosmetic Clinical Dentistry and has been awarded the Diploma in Implant Dentistry from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
Paul's knowledge of restorative dentistry provides a fundamental starting point for implant dentistry. He has taught oral surgery at the Bristol Dental Hospital and now helps train dentists to restore and place dental implants, so they can provide predictable results for their clients.
Paul says, 'knowledge and the use of up to date clinical techniques that are based on predictable results mean great outcomes for our clients, which will stand the test of time'.

Jay completed her specialist Orthodontic training at the Birmingham Dental School in 2009. She has since enhanced her knowledge by attending further courses in advanced orthodontic procedures, helping her provide treatments that are patient care focused and incorporate several dental techniques. Her particular interests include lingual orthodontics (Incognito™) and combination restorative/aesthetic cases.

Jay completed her specialist Orthodontic training at the Birmingham Dental School in 2009. Jay originally graduated from Birmingham University in 2003, going on to work as a General Dentist before embarking on further training. In 2005, she gained her Membership in the Faculty of Dental Surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons of England, before starting her specialist Orthodontic training in 2006.
In 2011, she was awarded MPhil and MOrth qualifications and specialist recognition. She has also spent time teaching Orthodontics at Bristol Dental Hospital, gaining further knowledge of complex cases.
In her spare time, Jay is a keen equestrian. She is married to Dr Paul Wilson and they have two children, Marcus and Freya. Jay works closely with our dentists, Paul and Howard, on cases requiring a multi-disciplinary approach.

Howard qualified from the Peninsula School of Medicine and Dentistry in 2013 having previously completed a degree in Biomaterials Science.
He is an experienced general dentist committed to his post graduate education, having also completed a diploma, as well as a post graduate certificate, in Restorative Dentistry.
Howard's practicing philosophy is that of minimally invasive, patient-centred dentistry. He listens carefully to his patients, providing them with evidence-based, predictable and conservative solutions to their dental issues.
Howard is excited to make use of the state of the art equipment available here at Stoke Bishop Dental Centre and collaborating with his colleagues in the planning and treatment of complex cases.
When not looking at teeth, Howard enjoys the company of good friends and spending time in the great outdoors. He also enjoys good food and wine, as well as nurturing his growing passion for gardening.

Her caring attitude makes her popular with patients, especially those who may be anxious about dental appointments.
She is a member of the British Society of Dental Hygienists and Therapists and regularly attends meetings to keep up to date with the latest techniques and knowledge. Rachel is also qualified to provide tooth whitening treatments and treat patients via the new Direct Access ruling.
In her spare time, she enjoys swimming, gardening and baking.

Marianne joined Stoke Bishop Dental Centre in November 2022 as our Lead Dental Nurse bringing onboard over twenty years of Dental Nursing experience. Marianne is both Radiography and Sedation qualified.

Marianne joined Stoke Bishop Dental Centre in November 2022 as our Lead Dental Nurse bringing onboard over twenty years of Dental Nursing experience. Marianne is both Radiography and Sedation qualified.
Marianne became our practice manager in July 2023. She is always on hand to help our team with anything they may need and makes sure that the practice is running smoothly so that our patient journey is always excellent. Marianne enjoys nothing more than making sure that you leave with a smile on your face.
Marianne is a great leader and is excited to see where the future takes her here at Stoke Bishop Dental Centre.
In her spare time Marianne enjoys watching her son and grandsons playing rugby, cooking and crochet.

Emily joined the Stoke Bishop Dental Centre team in March 2023 after working at an NHS practice in Wiltshire for the last three years gaining vast experience of general dentistry.

Hollie joined the Stoke Bishop Team July 2024 after being on maternity and decided wanted a change after working/training in another practice in Bristol for 5 years.

In January 2023 Hollie qualified as a Dental Nurse and now works alongside Jay as her Treatment Coordinator and Dental Nurse.
In her spare time Hollie. likes to play rugby which she has a real passion for, she also spends every other second of her time with her son, dancing and singing together.

Sophie joined the Stoke Bishop Team in April 2025 after working in a variety of different dental practices, from general NHS to implants and surgical. Sophie works alongside Paul as a Treatment Coordinator and Dental Nurse.

In her spare time, she enjoys travelling to new places around the world as well as spending time with her horse Obie and competing in different events.

Sarah joined Stoke Bishop Dental Centre in June 2024 as a Receptionist. She is now 10 months into her current role as a Trainee Dental Nurse and is due to qualify in August 2026; when she isn't studying, you will see her working alongside either Rachel or Paul.

Outside of the practice, Sarah has a husband and son who are both proud of her career change and support her when she needs to study or revise. On a weekend, Sarah likes to support her local rugby team and watches them whenever she can.

Meet Trooper, our therapy dog in training at Stoke Bishop Dental Centre! While he's still learning the ropes, Trooper's future role is to bring comfort and joy to our patients during their visits. With his friendly demeanour and playful spirit, we aim for him to help ease anxiety and create a more relaxed environment for everyone, especially those who may feel nervous about dental procedures.
